The Indian Springs Garden Club meets the fourth Thursday of each month, January-October at the Town Hall at 6:30 p. m. Its purpose is to promote an interest in all phases of horticulture and to make Indian Springs the very best place to live. It was established in February 2000.
Speakers’ topics are usually related to gardening, but activities also include workdays twice yearly at the Town Hall, the October harvest dinner and the Christmas party. Club members decorate the tables at the Town Hall Pavilion for the Village’s annual Fourth of July celebration along with Founder’s Day in October. Membership dues are $10.00 year per person, and $15.00 per couple.
Established originally as the Garden Club/ Welcoming Committee, the organization immediately held a garage sale to raise money for plants and shrubs to beautify the Town Hall grounds. Mulching and planting had been accomplished two months later.
